Meet Rhonda

Welcome to Wellness Walking where the journey is all about taking your time and slowing down. I grew up in a small rural town exploring the bush and lands around my home. Surrounded by a community that lived life by the seasons. Being outside was were I loved to be.
Through a random chain of events I become a park ranger for the Victorian National Parks Service (now Parks Victoria) and I had found my place for the next 30 years. My career gave me the most amazing opportunities, to work in nearly every environment in Victoria. I grabbed these opportunities with both hands working in; Central Victoria, along the Murray River, Alpine areas, the expansive Mallee and my home the Grampians. Here I started my career as an information officer and finished my career as the Area Chief Ranger of the incredible Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park.
My knowledge of the landscapes we walk through, my experience in emergency management and my passion to make sure everyone has a positive experience in nature means that I cares deeply about your experience. And I have the knowledge to choose experiences that matches your abilities as well as the weather conditions of the day.
We live on a mixed farm (crops and sheep) on the edge of the Grampians(Gariwerd) National Park where we have raised our children alongside many lambs, dogs, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. I watch the sunrise and sunsets on Mt Staplyton and never tire of the magic of this place.
I look forward to walking with you one day when you choose to put yourself first and take some time for YOU to recharge and reconnect.
I know it’s not easy to do so that’s why I am here with you all the way.
